Join the SChOOLS PPI Network

SChOOLS (Surrey Collaborative Outreach and Optimisation in Learning Settings) is a
Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group that aims to bring together education
practitioners, students, parents and carers, and researchers to shape the development
and impact of education-focused research.
What is Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)?
PPI ensures that research is done 'with' and not 'to' those who the research affects. This
means making sure that those from the public who have relevant experience are included
in the research process.
What will I be asked to do?
When you join the network, you will be added to our mailing list, which we will use to send you emails about PPI opportunities. Signing up to the mailing list doesn't mean you have to participate - you are welcome to take part in as many or as few PPI activities as you like. Examples of PPI activities include:
-
Joining focus groups to discuss what research topics are important to you.
-
Reading and giving your opinion on research study materials (e.g. an information leaflet).
-
Attending or taking part in online and in-person events that may interest you.
